Unlock the communication power of your people.
Built on 20 years of professional actor training and performance science.
The most expensive skill gap nobody's measuring
Every organisation invests in what their people know. Almost none invest, with any precision, in whether their people can actually communicate it.
The gap is not small. It shows up as the brilliant strategy that dies in the room because the pitch falls flat. The capable manager who avoids the conversations that matter most. The team that spends an hour in a meeting and leaves with three different ideas of what was decided. The rising talent who freezes the one time it counts.
None of this shows up on a P&L as "a communication problem." It shows up as lost deals, slow decisions, disengaged teams, and leadership potential that never quite translates into leadership presence. It's the single most consequential skill gap in most organisations, and the one least likely to have a training budget attached to it.
We built Utterance for Organisations to close exactly that gap, with the same rigour and precision used to train professional actors, applied to the moments your business actually depends on.
This is for your team if:
- Your strongest people struggle when it matters; a big pitch, a board update, a hard question from someone senior.
- Feedbackgets delivered "correctly" and somehow nothing changes.
- Yoursubject matter experts know more than anyone in the room, and it still doesn'tcome across that way
- Good people are quietly disengaging; they'ves topped pushing back, stopped raising problems.
It is also for you if:
- You've invested in generic communication training before, and it didn't stick past week one.
- You're growing fast, and communication that worked at a smaller size is starting to strain.
- You suspect the issue isn't a skills gap so much as a confidence and pressure gap, and you're right.
This isn't a personality problem, and it isn't a confidence problem in the way people usually mean it. It's a set of precise, learnable skills. Skills most people have never been taught directly.

The Workshops
Half Day Skills Workshops
Three standalone workshops, eachgoing deep on one high-leverage communication skill. Fast-paced, experiential, and immediately applicable. Run individually or as a suite.

Using silence with precision
Distinct, learnable ways to use silence; to think more clearly, read a room, hold your ground, mitigate hostility, and draw more out of people. The inability to pause is common and undermines good judgement.

Directing your attention with purpos
Specific, trainable skills for placing attention where it needs to be, switching it cleanly, and holding it under pressure. Treating attention as something you canactively shape, rather than passively have.

The relationship that drives the conversation
The ability to read what’s happening, listen beyond the words, and adapt in realtime - making communication more effective, intuitive, and human. A skill we’relosing as communication becomes more mediated.
Full programmes— 1, 2, or 3 days

From reflex to repertoire
A complete communication programme — from presence and contact through to reading different communication styles and adapting your own to connect and persuade. Built around your team’s real situations, not generic scenarios.

The approach
Most corporate communication training treats the individual as a problem to befixed, and the group as a passive backdrop. We do the opposite. We treat everyindividual as someone with unrealised power — and the group as the crucible that activates it.
We work at the intersection of performance science, professional actor training, and communication psychology, the same methodology used to train actors, broadcasters, and performers to hold a room, adapt instantly, and stay themselves under real pressure. Sessions are experiential, not theoretical. People don't just understand something new - they do it, feel it, and leave with something they can use on Monday morning.
Precise
Every workshop breaks a skill intodistinct, learnable components, practised until they're available under real pressure, not just understood in a quiet room.
Built on Evidence
Twenty years of training professional performers, combined with communication psychology — not a generic off-the-shelf corporate deck.
Built to stick
Most training produces understanding. Very little produces acquisition — the point where a skill is available under pressure. That's the bar we train to.
